What We Collect
We collect the information you submit through the contact form: business type, page-count choice, town or city, project brief, launch timing, existing-site details, name, email address, optional phone number, reply preference, and any extra notes.
We also collect limited technical information needed to protect and run the site, such as spam signals, timestamps, consent choices, page path, referrer, and non-identifying analytics events.
How We Use It
- To respond to your enquiry and discuss whether a website build is a fit.
- To store the enquiry in Supabase so it is not lost if an email fails.
- To send owner and confirmation emails through Resend from contact@propertybymegan.com to megan@propertybymegan.com and, where needed, to the enquirer.
- To check submissions for spam using the honeypot field and the reCAPTCHA integration when configured.
- To measure broad site behaviour through Plausible analytics where consent and configuration allow it. We do not send form personal data to analytics.
- To keep records needed for administration, security, and legal rights.
Lawful Bases
We process enquiry data under legitimate interests and pre-contract steps, because you have asked us to reply about a possible service. We process analytics and optional marketing preferences only where consent applies. We process security and spam-protection data under legitimate interests in keeping the website safe.
Who We Share Data With
We use Vercel for hosting, Supabase for enquiry storage, Resend for email delivery, Google reCAPTCHA for spam protection when enabled, and Plausible for privacy-friendly analytics when enabled. These providers process data only so the website and enquiry flow can operate.
We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect legal rights.
How Long We Keep Data
Enquiry records are kept for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact unless a longer period is needed for legal claims, accounting, or an active client relationship. Consent records and essential security logs are kept only for as long as needed to operate and audit the site.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data. You can also withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis.
Email megan@propertybymegan.com. We aim to respond within one calendar month. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how your data is handled.
